You’ve just emerged from the holiday season, and the kids are now back in school. Likely, you have been busying yourself with New Year’s resolutions and trying out new habits. However, as the new year starts running in full gear, don’t forget to keep spring break in mind. Before you know it, your kids will be off from school for an entire week, and you’ll be wishing you had planned a Florida getaway or at least a few day trips in
Indiana. Now is the time to start thinking about what you’ll do for spring break—and
ABC Auto Van & RV Rental can help. Here are a few tips we’ve learned over the years for making the most of your spring vacation.
1. Set a spring break budget.
Before you go planning a grand vacation, make sure you know just how much you can spend over spring break. Even if you decide that you don’t have money to spend, you can still plan ahead for some fun activities in the greater Fort Wayne or
Indianapolis areas. However, you don’t know what you can afford until you crunch the numbers.
2. Balance activities and down time.
It’s easy to want to schedule every minute of your spring break with fun activities. However, remember to allow room for rest and relaxation. If you’re going out of state, leave room for chilling on the beach or reading that book you’ve had on your shelf for years. For those of us sticking in Indiana, schedule morning activities followed by afternoon down time or movie marathons. You can also schedule a day trip or two, with some other days of at-home fun and relaxation built in.
3. Make it a group activity.
Do you have friends or family members who are also looking for a fun way to spend spring break? Maybe you can go together to
rent an RV and camp at your favorite warmer-weather state park. If you’re sticking in Indiana, you can plan a few day trips together to the
Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, or any number of state parks. No matter where you go together, we can help you get there. Don’t forget to check out our selection of
van rentals,
